You wear it! You state it!

Last September 5, 2015 held an event "#OVERTHROWBACK: Never Again! Martial Law Commemoration and Protest Action against Democratic Rights Violation and Yellow Dictatorship "

They called all Iskos and Iskas to wear their best 70's attire and be with them in commemorating the 42nd Anniversary of the Declaration of Martial Law by condemning the persistence of democratic rights violation and dictatorship in the country.

As one of those students who joined the commemoration protest, this "OOTD" inspired approach not only makes the protest meaningful but also enjoyable. As a way of showing my support, I wore my best 70's outfit wearing an orange stripes dress and a head band that match my dress. Feel the momentum of the 70's fight to democracy and shout our sentiments to the current oppressive system. Never again to Martial Law!!

Together in this protest we are also addressing other issues of this country from the fight for a greater state subsidy to ending impunity and the never ending oppression and corruption in the system.

Maybe a lot of people would have different views regarding those students who actively participate in protest but if we don't have them, what will our future generation be? Our youth are the eyes and arms of our nation, let them see the truth and fight for those who can't. Let them observe and let them criticize and most especially, let them change the system. The system that has been long tainted with greed and hunger of power.

Everyday we wear clothes based on so many driving forces of the society, of the physique, and of our own vanity. But I guess the best thing about this is when we use it to share our views and opinions. To make clothing as a form of statement. To commemorate the history. And to contribute in making this world a better place.
